Board of Directors
Approves operating and capital budgets, represents the membership of the association, addresses issues facing the organization, and ensures proper use of assets. The Board of Directors is elected annually by the membership. If you are interested in serving as a director, please call the staff liaison.

Bob Scott Classic Committee
The spring golf outing was renamed the Bob Scott Classic in 2007 to honor long time member and supporter, Bob Scott. The committee schedules, plans, coordinates, promotes and oversees all aspects of the golf tournament.
Meetings are held March through end of May and committee determines time and date.
Education Committee
The education committee researches and identifies education topics that meet the professional needs of members. This committee also evaluates the effectiveness of these educational courses and promotes professional designations. Members of this committee assist in organizing and implementing these events.

Government Affairs Committee
Serves as primary liaison between the home builders association and local, state, and nationally elected officials. Oversees and recommends policy on legislative, regulatory, and legal matters to the Board of Directors. This group is responsible for soliciting contributions and distributing funds to candidates sensitive to the home building industry and its initiatives.

Home & Outdoor Show Committee
Assists with the planning, production, booth and sponsorship sales, as well as marketing, publicity and production of the show.
Meets each month from March to October and then meets every other week November through February. Committee determines time and date.
Membership Services
Facilitates the identification and recruitment of new members and promotes member involvement in all association programs and activities. Plans and conducts orientation meetings and develops retention efforts.

New Generation Council
JCAHBA members believe that engaging the next or new generation is critical to ensuring success, which is why we launched the New Generation Council. A diverse group of leaders ages 18 to 40 who will encourage their peers to become involved in the residential and light commercial building industry. JCAHBA is dedicated to involving millennial’s and seeking input from this generation to explore effective methods of advocacy, awareness of opportunities, and stewardship ethics.

Showcase of Homes Committee
Assists with the planning, production, sponsorship sales, as well as marketing, publicity and production of the Showcase/Parade.

Student Chapters
The Student Chapters program is dedicated to enriching the educational experience of students by offering them first-hand exposure to the real world of the building industry through JCAHBA and NAHB membership, educational programming, and networking opportunities.
Working with a faculty adviser and drawing on the mentors and industry leaders in their local home builders association, student chapters can compete in national competitions, win scholarships, enjoy discounts on trade shows, and enjoy all the benefits of membership in NAHB.

Professional Women in Building
Professional Women in Building members work in all aspects of the building industry—as owners, builders, remodelers, architects, suppliers, marketing experts, designers and in finance and real estate. We are a strong and diverse network making advancements for women working in the building industry.
